Trust is growing green fodder in its 342.8 acres vinghas of land to feed cattle. For irrigation of green fodder a modern technique of irrigation by raingun is installed at Girirajbranch at Akhakhol. The trust has a large meadow from where trust is getting about 12 to 15 lac kgs of dry grass every year.
The vermicompost and Bio-compost manures are enriched with different types of cultures such as NPK, Iron, Boron, Copper, Zinc, Cobalt etc. developed in our branch. Enriched manure is used in growing green fodder. Trust is getting about 20 tonnes of green grass of different qualities everyday which is fed to the animals of Panjarapole. In addition to this trust is purchasing about 40000 i.e 40 tonnes of green grass from the market every day to feed the animals. The large animals of Panjarapole are fed about 15 to 20 kgs of green grass, 4 to 5 kgs of dry hay and 1 kg of Godrej company make cattle feed and the small animals are fed 10 to 12 kgs of green grass, 2 to 3 kgs hay and 0.5 kg of cattle feed every day.
The Trust is having about 1521.52 acres of land. Out of which about 800 acres of land is barren unlevelled. The Trust has adopted a land development programme for last 1o years under which unlevelled and barren land is levelled, tilled with fertile soil and manure, convert it in to agricultural land where green fodder can be grown under this programme. The trust has already successfully developed about 342.8 acres of land in in which the green fodder is grown.
